Summary You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (ORDNANCE) in the CHIEF OF NAVAL OPERATIONS of NMC CWD DET SEAL BEACH. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will review and update automated information systems to effectively monitor and schedule operations. You will perform review of technical documents. You will prepare ship offload plan with truck and storage assignment. You will determine manpower, material, equipment, and maintenance requirements. You will receive, review, and recommend acceptance or rejection of workload demands from all customers. You will monitor all operations and take action to make necessary changes in scheduling to meet shortages in manpower, material, or other delays to maintain steady work schedule. You will prioritize manpower and equipment to accomplish operational commitments. You will produce detailed daily, weekly, and monthly operating schedules and distribute as required. You will be responsible for long and short range planning and scheduling of ammunition/explosive. You will plan, schedule, and expedite all activities related to receipt, issue, segregation, storage and physical inventory of ordnance material. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: monitoring, planning or scheduling production resource operations for ammunition/ordnance and make recommendations for improving production performance in a ship environment. Education In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of two full years of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
