    General Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:

    + Operate the tannery's wastewater treatment area safely and efficiently.• Perform the wastewater treatment process from the leather tanning process. • Perform the solid decantation process, using chemical products for wastewater treatment.• Transfer water between tanks and remove solids using a filter press.• Operate and troubleshoot problems associated with wastewater treatment operations.• Organize the waste disposal area for the wastewater treatment process.• Prevent cross-contamination of wastewater.• Monitor and fill out process control spreadsheets in the wastewater treatment unit.• Communicate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance needs for equipment.• Perform equipment calibration when necessary.• Identify potential environmental problems and report them to the environmental supervisor.

    + Skills: •Some mechanical knowledge is required to troubleshoot simple problems.• The ability to multitask is essential.• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is mandatory.• Good note-taking skills and basic math knowledge are required.• This position requires supervision, therefore, the operator must be disciplined to stay focused on tasks and meet performance requirements.• Self-Motivated/ High Sense of urgency• Able to work in both hot and cold temperatures StrongExperience: Experience in wastewater treatment is desirable.
