    Title: Specialist I, IT (Process Innovation)

     

    Reports to: Manager IT

    Summary:

    In this role, you will support and drive Process Innovation (PI) initiatives by operating, stabilizing, and improving manufacturing and logistics IT systems. You will work closely with production and logistics teams, headquarters PI organizations, IT developers, and external partners to structure operational pain points into clear requirements and execute system enhancements, expansions, and standardization initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    + Operate and stabilize manufacturing production and logistics IT systems, including on-site support

    + Perform end-to-end issue resolution by identifying symptoms, analyzing root causes, implementing corrective actions, and preventing recurrence

    + Review system logs, data, and interface flows; trace issues using database queries as needed

    + Respond to user inquiries and issues, including IT Help Desk support; document and standardize operating procedures and manuals

    + Analyze production and logistics processes (As-Is / To-Be) to identify process improvement opportunities

    + Collect operational pain points from users and define functional and business requirements

    + Convert business requirements into clear system specifications, including process flows, data definitions, screen/report requirements, exception cases, and acceptance criteria

    + Collaborate with headquarters PI organizations to apply and improve standard processes and IT systems on-site

    + Support system testing, user training, launch, stabilization, and continuous improvement activities

    + Execute and support HQ standard IT system construction and system expansion (roll-out) projects

    + Support IT investments, assets, expenses, and system lifecycle management

    + Support data center operations, server health, and system performance to ensure production continuity

    + Work closely with remote infrastructure teams as on-site technical support for troubleshooting, deployment, cabling, monitoring, and maintenance

    + Configure and install PCs, network devices, peripherals, software, wireless access points, and L2 switches

    + Ensure system security and compliance with company policies

    + Utilize tools such as Active Directory, Remote Desktop, and related system management tools

    + Follow LGESMI cleaning SOPs during downtime (e.g., line stop, waiting time), including cleaning designated machines and surrounding work areas

    + Maintain workplace cleanliness in accordance with 5S3R standards

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience

    + Interest in or understanding of manufacturing, production, or logistics environments

    + Ability to logically analyze problems and communicate effectively with internal teams, developers, and partners

    + Ability to structure, document, and clearly specify system and business requirements

    + Ability to transform ambiguous requests into verifiable requirements and criteria

    + Bilingual Korean/English preferred

    Experience:

    + 0–3+ years of experience in Information Technology, Manufacturing Systems, Process Innovation, or related field

    + Experience supporting or operating production/logistics IT systems preferred

    + Experience with system integrations, interfaces, or data analysis projects preferred

    Skills:

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support production operations

    + Ability to work flexible hours to support collaboration with HQ and global sites

    + Basic SQL, database analysis, or programming knowledge (Java, C#, etc.) preferred
