    Job Profile Summary

    Position Summary:The Director serves as a nursing leader for Long Term Care in the Rochester Regional Health system. This role is responsible for leading nursing services and nursing practice in accordance with the purpose, vision, and values of Rochester Regional Health. This role is responsible for the overall management and daily coordination of nursing operations within aligned business areas. The role is responsible for goal setting, talent management, fiscal nursing operations, and adherence to regulatory standards. The role is responsible for collaborating with all facility, divisional, and system leaders on quality, financial, resident satisfaction, recruitment and retention and other initiatives. This individual is responsible for the implementation of the vision of an integrated health care delivery system; is a steward of nursing care resources; engenders and participates in collaborative decision making and care delivery and contributes to creating an environment that fosters resident advocacy, clinical competence and accountability for resident outcomes.Key Responsibilities:• Talent Management: Effectively recruits and retains talent for continuous support of the aligned business area. Fosters a team-based environment that collaborates across multiple disciplines to focus on continuous improvement and engagement. Monitors and recognizes performance and supports people in professional development. Engages with people to answer day to day operational questions and provides guidance. Maintain visibility within the facility by establishing a rounding schedule and participating in other activities. Encourage staff participation in facility and system feedback tools (Employee Engagement & Safety Survey). Develop plans to address feedback and measure outcomes. Ensure compliance with HR related processes – Employee evaluations, position control, Workday functions, etc. Support partnerships with organizations related to student rotations/placements.• Operations and Finance: Develops, maintains, and manages staffing levels to support clinical care. Responsible for regular monitoring and variance management of clinical, regulatory, and financial operations. Partners with administration to achieve financial stewardship through budget management. Follow all system and divisional guidelines on payroll, incentives and staffing grids. Communicates and collaborates with medical, professional, and support service leaders to coordinate nursing care programs and designs ongoing mechanisms to monitor delivery of nursing care. Support all aspects of the MDS process to ensure adequate clinical documentation for appropriate reimbursement and quality measure outcomes and coding. Collaborates other leaders to develop and implement appropriate nursing and patient care services policies and procedures to enhance operations and the delivery of services within areas of responsibility. Develops and maintains nursing supply and expense mitigation and improvement opportunities. • Quality & Safety: Executes and sustains quality initiatives across nursing and care services. Develops programs and strategies to monitor the quality of nursing care, nursing operations, and outcomes. Coordinate QAPI plans and continuous quality improvement initiatives with facility and divisional leaders. This includes survey preparation activities. Ensure the nursing departments develop a robust QAPI/auditing schedule to ensure clinical and regulatory compliance. Identify trends in clinical outcomes and develop plans to improve those outcomes. Participates in the planning and implementation of programs that support people and care process development. Focuses on maintaining and growing practice standards that improve nursing care, experience, and satisfaction. Respond timely to resident, staff and family concerns. Partners with physicians, providers, care teams, and operational administration to meet or exceed care goals. Facilitates to develop and improve programs to improve clinical care. Manage errors through our Just Culture philosophy. • Regulatory: Assesses and provide recommendations on the organization and structure of nursing care services and ensures that structure and processes are in conformity with the policies and procedures of the business area and all applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate with the Administrator to ensure all facility investigations are completed per NYS DOH and CMS regulations. Participate and lead as appropriate during any regulatory body survey or audit. Drives process improvements focused on care delivery and managing risk.     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

    $110,000.00 - $150,000.00

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
