_As a_ **_Network Engineer_** _, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in these work areas:_

+ Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity

+ Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks

+ Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability

+ Coordinates hardware and software acquisition

+ Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks

+ Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks

+ Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

+ Create and maintain documentation of networking processes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

_Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The_ **_Network Engineer_** _must have:_

**● Education:** Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

**● Experience:** 2+ years of related experience

• Required Skills:

+ Experience with network and firewall solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, and/or Palo Alto

+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Good communication and presentation skills

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**● Security Clearance Level:** None required, but ability to obtain and maintain Secret or higher clearance is preferred

**● Location:** State of Louisiana

+ Candidates within LA who reside within 60 miles of our Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City, LA will follow a hybrid work model

+ Candidates within LA who reside more than 60 miles from our office in Bossier City, LA will follow a remote work model

The likely salary range for this position is $83,927 - $113,549. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
