_Hiring Hourly Range:_** **_$19.95-$25.27_

The Impact You'll Make In This Role:
The Printer II is responsible to perform all printing functions necessary for the timely completion of high-quality printed materials, such as newsletters, periodicals, bill inserts, brochures, etc. Follow detailed job ticket instructions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** **:
Safely operate departmental printing equipment, digital ink jet press, digital toner press, 2-color jet press to produce high quality printed materials with close registration. Formulate and mix inks as required.
Output plates from DPX System; perform minor maintenance and adjustments.
Operate departmental bindery equipment such as collator, folder, cutter, and other miscellaneous equipment.
Clean and maintain departmental equipment including presses, collators, folder and cutter.
Work directly with internal and external customers when called upon to clarify job details or make changes regarding materials, colors, etc.
Provide back up press operation in absence of Lead Printer.
Provide training to other employees as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Experience and Expertise:
**Education and Experience:** A high school diploma, along with three (3) years of printing experience is required. Offset printing experience is preferred, with a minimum of two (2) years of general printing experience.
Skills:
+ Must be proficient in the operation of departmental printing presses with comprehensive knowledge of bindery equipment, including collators, folders, cutters, and similar machinery
+ Possesses a solid foundation in mechanical aptitude and computer literacy to support efficient production processes
+ Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to precisely follow job ticket instructions
+ Ability to communicate with internal and external customers as needed
+ Ability to work independently as well as on a team
+ Must be able to handle routine as well as variable tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
**Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must also be able to use and manipulate small tools, kneel, crouch/stoop, squat, twist the upper body, bend, and reach/stretch. Additionally, the employee must be able to manipulate a hand dolly and regularly lift and transport materials weighing 70-100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The position requires the ability to differentiate between colors.
**Environmental Demands:** Primarily works indoor in climate-controlled environment. Works in constant noise, with exposure to fumes odors, dust and chemical hazards. Occasionally works outdoors in cold and hot temperatures. Works around electrical and mechanical hazards.
