    Under the supervision of the assigned Assistant Director of Operations, the Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, executing, and monitoring special projects assigned by executive leadership. The Support Coordinator role is to primarily support the needs of the management team in meeting performance measures outlined in the grant contract.

     

    This is a grant-funded position.

    Responsibilities

    + Plans and coordinates with staff to conduct peer-to-peer annual training observations for each coach

    + Develop and update resources to share with child care providers

    + Communicates regularly on progress toward project goals and/or required results

    + Completes all reports and documentation as outlined by the executive leadership team

    + Develops and conducts provider education and training as assigned; follows all policies and procedures regarding training; provides TFTs to other staff members to maximize trainings offered across the region; demonstrated preparedness when providing training sessions

    + Markets and facilitates Professional Learning Communities as assigned

    + Assists management team with special projects to include, but not limited to, piloting new processes and developing/updating items on TORSH platform

    + Maintains excellent working relationships with and serves as a liaison to internal and external customers

    + Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions for supervising agency

    + Provide regular updates to CCR&R management team regarding progress of work

    + Keep abreast of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact project initiatives

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, human services, family and consumer sciences, early childhood education or related field

    + Must be able to meet the state trainer requirements as prescribed by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) as described at https://www.training.decal.ga.gov

    + Demonstrate superior interpersonal and customer service skills to work with the community and state agencies on behalf of the CCR&R, families, and child care providers

    + Knowledge of Georgia child care rules and regulations and early childhood best practices

    + Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and oral/written communication skills

    + Must be a self-starter, who works well with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to work in partnership with other team members

    + Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Planner, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to use a networked database and Outlook

    + Must have a personal vehicle, valid Driver’s license and appropriate insurance

    Preferred Qualifications

    (In addition to Minimum Qualifications)

    • Prior experience providing early childhood training and professional development

    • Prior experience providing technical assistance and coaching in early childhood program setting

    • Trainer Designation: Trainer I or higher www.gapds.decal.ga.gov

    • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Rated

     

    Salary/Benefits

     

    Salary is commensurate with education and work experience.

     

    Physical Demands

     

    The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight. Work is typically performed in varying office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion is required for data entry purposes.
