Your role at Clorox:
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant – Record to Report to drive improvements in our financial close process and strengthen accounting operations. In this role, you’ll combine accounting expertise with system transformation skills to deliver accurate, timely, and efficient reporting. You’ll help shorten the close cycle, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and partner cross functionally with enterprise data and technology teams to translate accounting needs into scalable solutions. This position offers high visibility across Finance and Accounting leadership and the opportunity to shape continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead and support enhancements to the RTR close process, including SAP S/4HANA and related systems.
+ Validate data accuracy and integrity across close cycles and reporting outputs.
+ Partner with enterprise data and technology teams to communicate accounting requirements and drive solutions.
+ Execute testing for system upgrades and process changes, logging and resolving issues.
+ Track and improve key metrics for close timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency.
+ Contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting, including management analysis and disclosures.
+ Research and apply accounting standards; evaluate transactions for proper treatment.
+ Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
+ Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and readiness.

+ Support other ad hoc RTR Global Capability priorities and initiatives.

What we look for:
+ 3+ years of accounting/finance experience; mix of public and industry experience a plus.
+ Systems Implementation experience
+ Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial close cycles, and reporting requirements.
+ Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
+ Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management abilities.
+ Flexible, proactive, and detail‑oriented with a focus on process improvement.
Skills and Abilities
+ Understand financial closing process/cycle and how close tasks impact the financial statement
+ Understand how to identify inefficiencies and support scalable solutions
+ Basic understanding of customer data, financial systems, and analytics potential
+ Be open to learning new technologies and processes
+ Familiar with testing processes, especially for system and SAP upgrades
+ Focused on identifying inconsistencies or data quality issues
+ Understands how data flows during Close cycles
+ Effectively reports issues and collaborates across business and technical teams
+ Able to diagnose root causes of data or test failures

+ Ability to think and work cross-functionally.

Education Level/Degree:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
•Zone A: $72,400 - $132,500
•Zone B: $66,400 - $121,500
•Zone C: $60,300 - $110,400

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
