JOB PURPOSE:

Durham-based pharmacy part of a regional company is in search of full-time pharmacy technicians to fill medication orders under the direction of a pharmacist.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Pulls correct medication from shelf and scans against prescription label for accuracy.

+ Packages medication in appropriate container for correct dispensing system.

+ Labels medication container with correct prescription label and necessary auxiliary labels.

+ Replenishes medications in emergency boxes accurately

+ Prints delivery manifests and places in correct delivery tote.

+ Locks delivery tote when ready for delivery; insures totes are loaded to delivery vehicle.

+ Pulls stickers for reorder items and forwards to Inventory Manager.

+ Places received stock on shelves accurately.

+ Generates reports and labels as required.

+ Maintains logs, records and other required documentation accurately.

+ Pre-packages and unit-dose medications for inventory stocking and prescription order dispensing.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• PTCB certification a plus, but not required

• Applicants with factory line experience preferred
