CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant - DevOps position for our client.
**Location:** Houston, TX
**Duration:** 11 months
Duties:
+ Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK.
+ Lead application migrations to AWS Outposts, leveraging Generative AI technologies to accelerate the process.
+ Build and automate provisioning pipelines for multi-account AWS environments following AWS best practices (Landing Zone, Control Tower, IAM, VPC design).
+ Implement auto-scaling, load balancing, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
+ Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.
+ Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for microservices, serverless applications, and containerized workloads.
+ Deploy and manage container platforms including Amazon EKS, ECS, and Fargate; implement container security, cluster scaling, monitoring, and cost optimization best practices.
+ Set up and manage monitoring and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar tools.
+ Establish log aggregation and distributed tracing using AWS OpenSearch, CloudWatch Logs, and X-Ray.
+ Implement security standards aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework; manage IAM roles, policies, secrets (Secrets Manager, Parameter Store), and network security.
+ Collaborate with security teams to support audit and compliance activities (NIST, ISO, CIS, SOC).
+ Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
+ Optimize performance, capacity planning, and cloud resource utilization.
+ Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps roadmap, standards, and best practices.
Skills:
+ Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK), and multi-account provisioning.
+ Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and automation for microservices, serverless, and containerized applications.
+ Container orchestration and management (EKS, ECS, Fargate).
+ Monitoring, logging, and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
+ Security standards and compliance frameworks (AWS Well-Architected Framework, NIST, ISO, CIS, SOC).
+ Generative AI technologies for rapid application migration.
+ Excellent problem-solving, automation, and optimization skills.
Experience:
+ Minimum 5+ years of experience in migrating applications to AWS Outposts.
+ AWS Certified DevOps Engineer required.
+ Proven experience in designing, building, and managing scalable AWS environments and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Hands-on experience with cloud security, monitoring, and container management best practices.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
