    THIS IS NOT A TELEWORK POSITION. CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THE OFFICE .

    Position Description:

    This position will be located within theNortheastRegion Department of Children and Families managing a Hope Navigation Unit. A Hope Navigator is a professional position responsible or helping clients access a wide variety of services and resources to achieve economic independence. Hope Navigators work with clients to identify and overcome barriers to economic self-sufficiency such as education, transportation, and employment.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

    This position requires face to face contact and travel throughout the community. This position is not eligible for Telecommuting.

    MINIMUM RE UIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent (4 years) of experience in Social Services.

     

    Minimum of one (1) year of experience supervising or leading a team of individuals.

     

    Minimum of one (1) year experience building relationships with community partners or resources.

     

    Minimum of one (1) year experience working in the Hope Florida program

     

    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or equivalent experience (4 years) in Case management.

     

    Case management experience is defined as experience with conducting assessments, preparing plans, making referrals, implementing plans and follow up with monitoring and valuation of those plans.

    KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Knowledge of and ability to apply basic management principles and practices.

     

    Ability to supervise people.

     

    Develop policies and procedures.

     

    Organize data into a logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other materials.

     

    + Collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations.

    + Solve problems, document work and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.

    + Apply the policies, procedures, and programs governing the agency.

    + Communicate effectively both orally and written.

    + Enter data accurately into a computerized system.

    + Work independently to solve problems and make decisions.

    + Plan and organize caseload to ensure work is completed in accordance with established timelines.

    + Prepare, clear, concise, and accurate records and reports.

    + Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, coworkers, and community agencies.

    + Use computers and related software packages.

    + Follow written and oral directions and instructions.
