About the role

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking for “Senior Software Engineer “; who could join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. In this role, you will:

• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior software engineers

• Design and implement high quality deliverables adhering to defined standards and design principles

• Create unit tests and ensure code coverage is met as per the agreed standards

• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instills the principles of this culture in a team

• Ensures that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines

• Provides detailed and timely status updates to leadership

• Helps establish and enhance development policies, procedures, and standards and enforces their implementation upon their team of developers

• Maintains technical knowledge and understanding of the latest development methodologies and best practices by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal projects, or participating in professional organizations

• Ensures quality and consistency throughout the architecture and implementation of the code base

• Assist in defect triage, impact analysis, resolution planning and implementation

• Be part of a team by participating in delivery sprints, detailed design, code reviews and learning to be a creative problem solver.

Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. What you need to have to be considered

• Experience with full stack development

• Demonstrate high proficiency with development tools

• Knowledge of SDLC best practices

• Excellent in Algorithm, Data structures and OOPS concepts

• Demonstrate strong analysis and problem-solving skills

• Experienced implementing multi-threading solutions

• Excellent understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture

• Experience with design patterns, including MVC

• Skills in multiple languages

Work experience required: > 5 years preferred

**Skill set:** Java, Python, PHP, Bash, Unix, Javascript, Angular, JQuery, .NET, C#, TCL/TK, Oracle/SQL, Redis, Azure, DEVOPs, Multi-threading, API, OOP, Agile, Git, Ruby, Chef

These will help you stand out

• Experience working in the Healthcare industry.

• Experience using Agile.

• Experience working with Azure/Cloud implementations.

• Linux and scripting Knowledge a plus

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 1/9/25.

The annual salary for this position is between $61,000 - $108,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
