Are you ready to put your years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Sector is seeking a **Principal Logistics** **Engineer** to join our growing team in **Oklahoma City, OK**
You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS). LSMS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-2 Bomber and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical oversight and management for Special Test Equipment (STE) assets
+ Responsibilities include monitoring and updating project statuses and budget allocations, managing supplier relationships, and preparing comprehensive status reports addressing STE-related issues
+ Develop and maintain advanced spreadsheets and presentations (PowerPoint) to communicate STE status, contract funding, repair activities, Statement of Requirements (SOR) responsibilities, and funding needs
+ Formulation of strategic recommendations for interim, short-term, and long-term solutions to address immediate and anticipated STE/tooling challenges
+ Maintain a dynamic inventory of STE assets requiring funding, with a focus on those essential for ongoing contract repair support, updating records monthly as needed
+ Establishing and sustaining supplier communications to assess STE functionality, utilization, and condition
+ Schedule and conduct technical reviews of STE at supplier facilities and generate data-driven charts for management and Integrated Product Team (IPT) use, supporting funding requests for STE upgrades, repairs, consolidation, or replacement
Basic Qualifications:
+ Must have either a Bachelor’s degree in science with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in science or a PhD with a minimum of 1 year of experience in science
+ A working understanding of government aircraft maintenance and supply processes/systems
+ Experience with reading and understanding technical data (e.g., Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Material, Engineering Specifications, etc.)
+ Must have working knowledge of military logistic support procedures
+ Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher).
+ Significant experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)
+ Experience in using Team Center, Logistics Management Data System (LMDS), and Engineering Source Data
Primary Level Salary Range: $70,100.00 - $105,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
