The Distribution Center Floor Manager is a key leader responsible for managing daily operations. You will inspire and lead your team to meet short-term and long-term goals, enabling the execution of key initiatives. A day in the life as a Floor Manager...
+ Manages effective labor plans to ensure proper staffing levels according to budgets for overtime, full-time and temporary labor
+ Ensures productivity measurement standards are met
+ Identifies and resolves critical distribution issues for inbound and outbound processes
+ Implements improvements for operational flows and reassigns staff as necessary
+ Creates an environment that fosters open and positive team communication
+ Facilitates team meetings
+ Participates in the interviewing and hiring process for distribution center associates
+ Responsible for ensuring staff are properly trained
+ Supports all efforts and initiatives across the operation
+ Performs safety observations in conjunction with job observations to coach and counsel associates on proper safety procedures
+ Leads investigations for safety incidents and injuries by performing root cause analysis to remove future potential safety hazards
+ Plays an active role in the participation of all safety programs and acts as a role model for all associates.
+ Oversees and implements company and OSHA guidelines and programs to contribute to a safe working environment for all associates
+ Serves a backup for other floor managers as necessary
+ Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
What you'll bring to the table...
+ Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management System
+ Computer skills, proficiency with Google applications, MS Word & Excel
+ Ability to resolve problems
+ Strong time management, organizational, planning skills
+ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
+ Basic math skills; detail-oriented
+ Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written form
+ Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment
+ Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
We'd love to hear from you if you have…
+ Minimum 5 years distribution experience, 2 years supervisory experience
+ Associate’s Degree in related field preferred
