Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Technical Senior Application Specialist with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Senior Application Specialist with deep domain expertise in either the Money Movement space (Bill Pay, Wires, ACH, Check Deposits) or the Credit domain (Credit Cards, Mortgage, and CAA). This role serves as a technical lead, coordinating delivery across multiple internal teams and external partners while contributing to the design and evolution of future-state payment and credit platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural insight with hands-on technical knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

+ Act as a Technical Lead, reviewing solution architecture and partnering with development teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions that drive business value.

+ Coordinate projects and development efforts across internal teams (e.g., ISL, ESS, Operations, BPM, Salesforce, Mobile) and external vendors and partners.

+ Provide input into detailed technical design and application development using existing and emerging technologies.

+ Support the design and evolution of future payment rails and platforms, including payment hubs and next-generation capabilities.

+ Apply seasoned technical expertise to solve complex problems across cross-functional initiatives within regulated banking environments.

Job Requirements

+ Strong experience in either:

+ Money Movement / Payments (Bill Pay, ACH, Wires, Check Deposits), or

+ Credit platforms (Credit Cards, Mortgage, or related onboarding systems)

+ Solid understanding of technology architecture, APIs, and modern integration patterns.

+ Experience working within a banking or financial services environment.

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and engineering teams.

+ Demonstrated strength in solution design, architecture, and analytical problem-solving.

+ High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking

+ Collaborative mindset with a proactive, “can-do” attitude

+ Nice-to-Have Skills

+ Knowledge of Java technology stack (e.g., Spring Boot)

+ Experience designing and building APIs

The base hourly range for this contract position is $65-95 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
