Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Business Architect with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client is seeking a strategic and highly collaborative Senior Discovery & Research Business Architect to drive qualitative and quantitative research efforts that inform digital product and technology solutions. This role is responsible for leading discovery activities, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and translating complex data into actionable insights that guide decision-making across multiple initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep research expertise, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to influence across teams and leadership levels in dynamic, cross-functional environments.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead and execute end-to-end discovery and research efforts, including planning, execution, synthesis, and insight delivery.

+ Design and facilitate workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, 1:1 interviews, and group input sessions with internal and external participants.

+ Apply design-thinking frameworks, tools, and methodologies to uncover user needs, business opportunities, and technology considerations.

+ Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, identifying themes, patterns, and insights across multiple data sources.

+ Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations that inform strategy, experience design, and solution definition.

+ Develop and validate current-state and future-state artifacts, such as journey maps, service blueprints, user flows, and experience models.

+ Partner closely with cross-functional teams—including product, design, technology, and business stakeholders—to ensure alignment and shared understanding.

+ Communicate research insights effectively through presentations, written documentation, and visual artifacts tailored to varying leadership audiences.

+ Support multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing priorities while maintaining high quality and consistency of research outputs.

Preferred Experience

+ Experience working in B2B, franchise, and/or multichannel distribution or go-to-market environments.

+ Background in agency or consulting settings, supporting multiple clients or workstreams simultaneously.

+ Familiarity with research, design, and productivity tools such as Qualtrics, Marvin, Jira/Confluence, Figma/FigJam, Power BI, and Microsoft Office (including Copilot AI).

+ Strong self-directed project planning and management skills, with the ability to operate independently while aligning to broader programs or portfolios.

+ Proven ability to lead and influence in highly collaborative, matrixed environments without direct authority.

The base hourly range for this contract position is $65-95 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
