Required Education/Experience

+ Master's Degree and 2 years of related work experience or

+ Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of related work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

+ Master's Degree Environmental Science, Biology Environmental Management, Engineering or related fields and 8 years of related work experience

+ Bachelor's Degree Environmental Science, Biology Environmental Management, Engineering or related fields and 10 years of related work experience

Relevant Work Experience

+ 7 years of technical expertise: Deep understanding of federal and state (NY and NJ) regulations related to PCBs, emerging contaminants, waste management and disposal requirements, preferred.

+ 7 years of proven track record of applying regulatory and industry knowledge to solve complex waste compliance, management and disposal problems, experience with development and management of corporate policies, procedures and guidance documents, preferred.

+ 7 years of regulatory/compliance knowledge: Past experience in navigating complex regulatory framework to effectively manage waste for utilities, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals or similar industry, preferred.

+ 10 years of professional experience working in environmental setting with focus on science, engineering, chemistry, and/or waste management, preferred.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Experience in a regulated environment

+ Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

+ Demonstrated analytical skills

+ Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments

Licenses and Certifications

+ Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Must sit or stand to answer a phone for entire shift.

+ Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift.

+ Must travel to various locations.
