SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Plastic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works collaboratively with board-certified plastic surgeons to deliver high-quality cosmetic and reconstructive care. This role involves patient evaluation, perioperative management, in-office procedures, surgical assistance, and postoperative follow-up. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, patient-centered, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Care

+ Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical exams, and treatment planning

+ Provide preoperative and postoperative care for cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery patients

+ Manage postoperative concerns, complications, wound care, and follow-up visits

+ Perform in-office procedures as appropriate

+ Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests in accordance with state regulations

Surgical Support

+ Assist in the operating room during plastic surgery procedures

+ Participate in perioperative patient management and coordination of care

+ Ensure adherence to surgical safety, infection control, and quality standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

+ Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment

+ National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
