What You Will Do:
+ Perform a range of accounting and analytical tasks in addition to interpreting financial reports and data to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
+ Oversee accounting operations for service units and overhead units
+ Prepare and distribute customized financial reports by established monthly deadlines while ensuring for the quality, timeliness and integrity of data
+ Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
+ Collaborate with senior management of service units to produce detailed, monthly analytical reports including variance reports and trend analysis
+ Evaluate monthly financial results with CFO and unit leaders, noting business results and trends
+ Serve as a key contributor in assuring adherence to monthly financial closing schedule (within 10 business days)
+ Provide support for the monthly forecasts and annual budgets
+ Assist with monthly board reports and act as a resource during the annual audit

Basic Qualifications :
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution with a concentration in Accounting
+ 0-3 years of related accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ High level of proficiency in Excel
+ Strong computer proficiency with the ability to troubleshoot common issues and adapt to new tools

Our hybrid environment offers you the option of working from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines. Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $65,000 - $67,000.
