Find your purpose at CentraCare as a Health Unit Coordinator team member in the Center for Surgical Care.

As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

Schedule

+ Part-time | 32-48 hours every two weeks| 8-hour shifts between 5am - 5:30pm | Monday-Friday

+ No weekends or holidays

Pay and Benefits

+ Starting pay begins at $18.28 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

+ Pay range: $17.00-$25.54 per hour

Qualifications

+ High School diploma or equivalent experience/knowledge required.

+ National Health Unit Coordinator certification preferred.

+ Previous experience utilizing an EMR (electronic medical record) preferred.

+ Minimum of one year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.

+ Knowledge of medical terminology required. Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Upon Hire

+ Orientation and training will be given to obtain the desired entry level competence, in lieu of experience.
