    Western Kentucky University, a member of Conference USA and a Football Bowl Subdivision NCAA member institution, seeks to hire an individual for the full-time position of Director of Scouting. This is a 12-month, full-time position. This position will report directly to the Head Coach of Football. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.

     

    + Manage contact information for each prospective student-athlete by overseeing all Teamworks Database management

    + Provide a communication plan of contact information with all of the position coaches

    + Maintain Offer List for all prospective student-athletes

    + Provide Visitor Lists to Director of Recruiting and assist with the execution of the official and unofficial visits

    + Oversee Recruiting Graphic Design / Creative Video / Social Media with both a weekly and long term plan of execution

    + Provide targets and plan with the Defensive Recruiting Coordinator while maintaining and updating the "Next Up" recruiting board

    + Provide a primary initial evaluation of all Junior College and Transfer Portal Prospects; provide a secondary evaluation of all High School Prospects to position coaches

    + Execute continued communication with Offered prospective student-athletes, parents, and coaches

    + Plan daily recruiting schedules of Assistant Coaches while providing support with travel logistics for coaches on recruiting visits

    + Track all prospective student-athletes throughout their seasons and any updates on their game-by-game statistics.

    + Serve as NFL Liaison for WKU Football by organizing Pro Day, JR Day, and all camp visits with NFL scouts

    + Mange Distribution and Collection of National Letter of Intent / FAA to all student-athletes

    Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success:

    + Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

    + Knowledge of NCAA rules regarding recruiting in the sport of Football.

    + Must be self-motivated and team-oriented.

    + Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office products.

    + Must be willing and able to flexible hours, including work evenings and weekends.

    + The duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed in a competent manner following the highest standards for leadership, professionalism, integrity, accountability, responsibility, cooperation and customer service.

    Job Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree.

    + At least one season of NCAA Division I Football experience.

    + Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
