Private Banking Relationship Manager – Team Lead
We are seeking a **Private Banking Relationship Manager – Team Lead** to join our team in **San Antonio, TX** . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a leadership role, serving as a subject matter expert for the team while continuing to manage client relationships.
Our Private Bankers collaborate across Amegy Bank’s key lines of business—including Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Wealth Management, Business Banking, and other specialized areas—to deliver fully integrated financial solutions. This role is deeply connected to executive goals and enterprise-wide strategies. You’ll manage a large, complex portfolio of high-net-worth clients while leveraging deep expertise in investment products and advanced wealth strategies to create comprehensive plans that help clients grow, preserve, and transfer wealth.

Essential Functions
+ Team Leadership & Expertise
+ Serve as a subject matter expert for private banking products and services.
+ Act as a resource for training and development within the team.
Client Relationship Management
+ Act as the principal account and relationship manager for new and existing clients.
+ Focus on generating, managing, and servicing a portfolio of clients.
+ Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through proactive communication and tailored solutions.
Business Development
+ Generate, retain, and expand business in one or more of the following areas: loan and deposit products, investment and trust referrals, commercial business referrals.
+ Develop and follow up on new client leads through existing clients, referrals from other bank departments and divisions.
Credit & Portfolio Management
+ Responsible for credit analysis and proper loan structuring.
+ Review client portfolios and make recommendations as needed.
Other Duties
+ Collaborate with leadership on team performance and strategic initiatives.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Private Banking, including expertise in lending, sales, investment products, and comprehensive wealth strategies. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
+ Strong knowledge of banking, commercial lending, mortgages, investments, trusts, and insurance products.
+ Deep understanding of investment products and wealth strategies, with a focus on building comprehensive wealth plans for clients.
+ Proven ability in sales, credit analysis, loan structuring, and client relationship management.
+ Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Commitment to high-quality service and client satisfaction.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Investment licenses (Series 7 & 63, or similar) a plus, but not required
+ Local candidates preferred.
