    Job Description

    A large Value-Added Reseller is seeking Principal Network Engineer to lead Cisco Network Operations. The Principal Engineer is both a hands-on technical authority and a strategic leader. The Network Principal Engineer leads IT infrastructure engineering projects, including data center upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting, with expertise in Cisco, F5, and Palo Alto solutions. The ideal candidate will have some hands on or technical understanding of Ribbon SBC.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design, implement, and administer advanced Cisco network solutions.

     

    Deploy and migrate infrastructure following best practices; document post-sales engagements.

     

    Troubleshoot complex networking, security, and wireless issues.

     

    Collaborate with sales teams on proposals, demos, and SOW/BOM creation.

     

    Develop detailed implementation plans and conduct architecture discussions.

     

    Provide leadership and technical mentoring.

     

    Additional Notes

     

    Salary range: $125K–$150K

     

    Onsite potential: candidates must be located in one of the four designated locations (Dallas, NYC, Chicago, Charlotte)

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Cisco expertise required; CCIE certification is a must-have.

     

    - Ribbon SBC experience highly preferred (not required).

     

    - Extensive experience with LAN/WAN, network security, enterprise wireless, and advanced protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).

     

    - Strong skills in VLAN design, VPN deployment, load balancing, and Cisco configurations.

     

    - Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Orion, HP OpenView). - Cisco Certified Systems Engineer (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
