Job Description

A company in Englewood, CO is seeking a Software Architect/DevOps professional to join their team on a one-year contract, with potential extensions or permanent placement. This role will focus on mission-critical telecommunications projects aimed at expanding Wi-Fi and cellular capabilities. The Architect will lead the ideation, design, development, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, dedicating approximately half of their time to evaluating current pipelines, designing new solutions using AWS functions, enhancing AWS environments through CloudFormation and Terraform scripts, and collaborating with development and architecture teams to improve efficiencies. The remaining time will involve hands-on development work, including enhancing entitlement server pipelines for automated end-to-end testing, creating new CI/CD pipelines, developing microservices in Python/Java on AWS, implementing production monitoring, and building dashboards and KPIs. The position requires adherence to AWS and industry best practices for deployment, monitoring, and alerting. Candidates must be able to work on W2 without sponsorship and will be expected on-site four days per week, with one remote day. The pay rate ranges from $70–$80 per hour based on experience, and Insight Global offers full benefits during the contract, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience working with AWS (3+ within DevOps functionality)

AWS Solutions Architecture Certificate

Experience designing and deploying AWS solutions using EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer and Auto scaling groups

Experience working with Kubernetes, Terraform and Docker

Working understanding of AWS virtual private clouds and AWS networking

Experience writing code in python/java, RDB and/or Mongo DB Telecommunications industry experience
