Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support one of our clients' major modernization initiatives. This role will lead the transformation of a legacy AS400-based system that manages $6 billion in funds, ensuring a seamless transition to modern technology. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies. Daily tasks include facilitating stakeholder meetings, tracking deliverables, overseeing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards. Candidates should have proven success in financial infrastructure or tax system modernizations at the state, city, or county level, experience working across on-premises and SaaS environments, and strong interpersonal skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Skills and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading complex tax/financial system modernization projects
- Prior government work experience at a state, city, or county level with a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ability to assess legacy systems, plan migration strategies, and integrate modern SaaS platforms while ensuring security, compliance, and seamless user adoption
- Proven ability to confidently and effectively communicate/present to high level stakeholders, including executive leadership and government officials
- Must sit local to the Austin area and be available for on-site meetings as required - PMP Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or Public Administration is preferred (Master’s desirable)
