Job Description
As Lab Manager at Texas Oncology’s busiest clinic, you will lead overarching operations, budgets, and personnel management. This role requires a strong, Type A personality to create structure, enforce accountability, and drive cultural change in a challenging environment. Success in this role can lead to rapid promotion to Area Lab Manager. Average patient volume is around 300 patient/day.
Oversee all lab operations and budgets; conduct daily rounds.
Lead hiring, terminations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
Collaborate with supervisors and upper management; attend leadership meetings.
Drive process improvements and enforce accountability across teams.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure smooth implementation of preselected equipment and policies.
Foster a culture of compliance, efficiency, and patient-focused care.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5:00p. Parking is pay to park.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
MT certification through AMT or MLS accredited by ASCP.
Minimum 5 years of management experience (or extensive supervisory experience ready for promotion).
Strong chemistry expertise.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Hospital management experience strongly preferred.
