Job Description
The lab supervisor will play a critical role in managing daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely testing, and maintaining workflow efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Average patient volume is around 300 patient/day.
Oversee phlebotomy area, acute PR, scheduling, and daily lab operations.
Act as a working general supervisor; perform routine tests and assist with QC and calibration as needed.
Supervise and train laboratory personnel; manage scheduling and performance evaluations.
Monitor quality assurance, quality control, and proficiency testing.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, OSHA standards, and safety protocols.
Manage supply orders and evaluate equipment for technical suitability.
Collaborate with nursing and clerical teams to maintain smooth operations.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient care standards.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5:00p. Parking is pay to park.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
MT certification through AMT or MLS accredited by ASCP.
Minimum 5 years as a supervisor or lead in chemistry.
Strong chemistry expertise and hands-on technical skills.
Proven people management experience
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work on the bench when needed.
