Overview

Insight Global is seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Solutions Estimator to support our Account Executive (AE) team. This role is essential in enabling our sales organization to stay focused on customer engagement while you handle the internal heavy lifting — developing estimates, building bills of material (BOM), and ensuring our proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with customer needs.

What You’ll Do

Develop detailed estimates for security solutions, including cameras, access control, servers, and software

Create accurate bills of material to support AE proposals and customer opportunities

Collaborate closely with Account Executives to understand project scope, requirements, and timelines

Support multiple sales team members by providing timely, high‑quality estimating support

Participate in job walks or customer meetings alongside AEs when needed to gather technical details

Serve as a bridge between field experience and office-based engineering, helping translate real‑world conditions into accurate solution designs

Contribute to sales success by helping shape competitive proposals and supporting quota‑carrying activities

Skills and Requirements

Requirements

Understanding of security system architecture, including cameras, access control, and related technologies

Ability to read, interpret, and translate technical requirements into solution components

Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, specifications, and structured documentation

Collaborative mindset with the ability to support multiple AEs simultaneously

Field experience in security systems (preferred), with interest in transitioning into an office‑based engineering/estimating role
