    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Network & Monitoring Engineer for our customer in the Life Sciences industry. You’ll own the high‑level design and day‑to‑day engineering of our network and monitoring architecture. This is an 80% hands‑on role where you’ll define, design, and deploy on‑prem and cloud networks (GCP preferred) across Cisco and modern tooling—while leveling up the organization from “click‑oriented” to script/IaC‑driven practices.

    What you’ll do:

    - Develop and maintain logical/technical network & monitoring architecture and standards.

     

    - Lead hands‑on build/operations across LAN/WAN, wireless, security, Internet/intranet, and VMs.

     

    - Design and deploy cloud networking (VPCs, routing, VPNs, load balancers) with GCP emphasis.

     

    - Stand up/optimize infrastructure monitoring and observability; document in Confluence.

     

    - Partner with stakeholders and enterprise architecture to capture requirements; run feasibility studies; drive projects from plan to execution.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 7-10 years hands on Networking experience

     

    - Deep Cisco stack experience + strong cloud networking (GCP preferred)

    - Comfort defining/deploying networks in cloud; understanding of Infrastructure as Code

    - Clear, concise communication; love for documentation (Confluence) - Scripting skills (e.g., Python/PowerShell/Bash) are a major plus.

     

    - Life Sciences industry experience
