Job Description
The Pharmacist in Charge oversees the operations of all departments within the company including pharmacy, nursing, administrative/clerical, and sales in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures. The Manager/Pharmacist in Charge oversees and evaluates the financial status of the company, communicates with the corporate office as needed on issues of finance, performance improvement, sales, or clinical implementation of therapies. This individual provides clinical pharmacy services to the company and consumers through the appropriate evaluation of physician orders, compounding of sterile preparations, and safe and efficient dispensing of medications, supplies, and administration equipment. The pharmacist in charge may supervise the activities of pharmacy support personnel, as well as quality control and performance improvement procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pharmacy Operations & Compliance • Oversee daily operations, ensuring all practices are in line with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure that the pharmacy and its staff adhere to all regulations, guidelines, and best practices for home infusion therapies.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications and supplies.
• Handle record-keeping, documentation, and periodic audits to ensure compliance and high-quality care.
2. Patient Care • Oversee the preparation and dispensation of medications, ensuring accuracy, safety, and the highest standards of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to customize and optimize medication regimens for patients receiving home infusion therapies.
• Provide medication therapy management, patient counseling, and education related to home infusion therapies.
3. Leadership & Team Management • Lead, train, and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.
• Promote continuous learning, keeping the team updated on the latest in-home infusion therapies and technologies.
• Address any staff concerns, conflicts, or performance issues in a timely and professional manner.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration • Liaise with healthcare professionals, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and quality care.
• Represent our company in professional and industry forums, sharing knowledge and networking with peers in the home infusion space.

Skills and Requirements
Required: Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of California; actively licensed in the state of California
• Required: Good interactive skills with employees, referral sources, physicians, and consumers
• Required: Three (3) years clinical experience
• Required: Minimum one (1) year experience with infusion therapy and sterile compounding
• Required: Sterile compounding training • Preferred: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing a pharmacy team.
• Preferred: Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy regulations
