Hours: 55 hours/week, Mon.-Fri. 9 hours/day, Sat.-Sun. 5 hours/day, 8:30 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.
Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farm’s operation.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to, applying agricultural products such as fertilizers, pesticides, and growth inhibitors; attaching and detaching implements; and performing work in high-humidity and extreme temperature conditions. Workers will clean work areas; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machinery; hand-pick and manually grade crops; and participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops.
Duties also include hauling, loading, spreading, and unloading materials such as fertilizer to condition soil; loading inputs and dumping solutions, powders, or seeds into planter, spreader, or sprayer machinery; positioning boxes or bags at the ends of machinery to collect products; removing, closing, weighing, and labeling full containers; and recording information related to crop production. Workers will load crops and operate trucks to transport materials, inputs, and harvested crops to and from fields and storage facilities.
Workers will operate and maintain self-propelled and towed agricultural machinery; set up, repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; and repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment, buildings, fences, and other structures. Additional duties include tilling soil; transplanting, weeding, thinning, and pruning crops; maintaining grounds and landscaping; and informing farm managers of crop condition and progress. Workers will use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crowbars, air tools, and electric tools as needed to perform assigned tasks.
Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt-moving equipment, GPS-guided machinery, grain carts, forklifts, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi-trucks, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, straight-frame trucks, tillage equipment, tractor-trailer combinations, and tractors.
Crops Produced: corn, potatoes, soybeans, sugar beets, wheat, edible beans, and field peas.
Worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.
The employer maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Upon hire, workers may be subject to random drug testing at no cost to the worker. A positive test result or failure to comply with testing requirements may result in immediate termination of employment.
### Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.
### Minimum Experience Required
Worker must be able to speak and understand English.
Worker must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Worker must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions, extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

### Additional Compensation
Employer may, at the company’s sole discretion, pay workers at a rate above the minimum required and/or provide additional compensation such as bonuses, fixed salaries, PTO, insurance, incentive pay, or other benefits to any worker employed under this job order based on lawful, non-discriminatory factors including skill, performance, tenure with the employer, licensing, training, punctuality, or prior related experience.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

### Job Benefits
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
