Our Internal Audit team provides independent, objective assurance and insights that help drive business improvement and strengthen internal controls. We are seeking a Data Analytics Specialist to support our audit work through data-driven analysis and participation in assurance activities.
The Data Analytics Specialist will play a key role in integrating data analytics into Internal Audits assurance and advisory activities. This position blends hands-on analytics work with core internal audit responsibilities, including SOX testing and operational/compliance audit support. The ideal candidate will bring 13 years of experience in data analytics or audit, a strong curiosity to explore and interpret data, and the ability to translate analytical results into meaningful audit insights. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop a well-rounded skill set across analytics, controls, and risk management. This is an onsite position 5 days per week in either our Dallas, TX or Pittsburgh, PA office.
Key Responsibilities
+ Partner with Internal Audit teams to design and execute data-driven audit procedures.
+ Extract, clean, analyze, and interpret data using tools such as Python, Excel, and generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT).
+ Perform and document SOX control testing as well as support operational and compliance audit activities.
+ Build and maintain repeatable analytics, dashboards, and scripts to enhance audit quality, efficiency, and continuous auditing initiatives.
+ Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported documentation of analytics procedures, findings, and recommendations.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility and support ongoing enhancements in data governance and analytics maturity.
+ Contribute to the development of Internal Audits long-term analytics roadmap and capability building.
