    Summary This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will serve as the MNL Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) and subject matter expert in multinational logistics, offering guidance to the Department of Defense, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (COCOMs), military services, and coalition partners on strategic logistics plans, policies, and programs. Responsibilities As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Works with flag-officer equivalent leadership and provides expert knowledge of multinational and interagency joint logistics. Analyzes and prepares proposals and implements legislation that effects multinational logistics. Provides international logistics expertise to committees focused on Operational Logistics Chain Management (OLCM), Transportation Movement and Visibility, and Collective Responsibility. Provides a wide variety of international logistics planning and analysis support, including program planning and evaluation, policy development and analysis, and international agreement review and approval. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Recognizing joint logistics planning and execution, with a focus on multinational and coalition operations; Identifying NATO and Joint Logistics structures, processes, committees with experience in multinational logistics forums and knowledge of U.S and international logistics policies, agreements, and reporting requirements; Applying qualitative and quantitative methods for planning, assessing, and improving the effectiveness of operational processes, functions, and systems; Outlining Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
