    Responsibilities:

    The ISD Enterprise Regional Training Specialist is a member of a cross-functional team where teamwork, collaboration, challenges and continuous learning are the norm.

     

    Serves as an ISD Enterprise Training program expert. Supports the ISD Enterprise Training program in all areas and through all phases of an implementation including providing ongoing support after a go-live event. Mentors and trains staff. Works with technical staff and key stakeholders to identify requirements, recommend, plan, design, direct and implement the eRecord and ERP Training program(s). Provides in-depth knowledge of ISD Enterprise training process and procedures and training standards, to install and evaluate the program to support operations, standardize processes, and gain efficiencies. This includes but is not limited to: scheduling, logistics, and operational support of the Learning Management System. Has considerable latitude for independent judgment and initiative. Assignments are typically larger in scope, requiring a higher level of analytic ability and understanding of operational processes and training standards. Assists with leading tasks, ensuring timelines are met, collaborating with management to identifiy and direct process improvements, efficiencies,innovations, and provide guidance and training expertise to other trainers, stakeholders, Project Managers, and Operational Leaders.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Serves as a liaison to operational groups, eRecord, and ERP Training staff. Working with the ISD Enterprise Training Director, defines and coordinates all parts of the training program from communication to scheduling, enrollment, to class creation and assignment. Ensures all system users are appropriately trained prior to gaining access to the production system(s).

    + Evaluates, outlines, and directs training needs for regional Projects, go-lives, and enhancements, communicating and reinforcing training best practices, timelines, policies, and procedures. Leads assigned training project work independently and develops integrated strategies and work plans; assigning and monitoring project tasks, resources, and priorities, involving the Director/s as needed. Develops and manages logistics and administrative aspects of project and task management. Works collaboratively with Project managers, the Project team, Build, Operations, and Informatics, keeping them appraised of Training plans and timelines. Identifies barriers to the projects completion, identifies and recommends solutions, and communicates and/or escalates needs with the ISD Enterprise Training Director and Supply Chain director.

    + Works with operations, Training, Build, Communication and Project Leadership to develop, create, outline, and communicate new training program policies and procedures. Monitors the operational impact of information technology solutions; may recommend and assist with changes in operational processes related to training programs and learning management systems. Uses well-developed service, administrative and logistical skills and experience to seek solutions for continual process improvement of training programs and practices. Monitors progress and provides updates and reports to the Training Director, Project Management, and Operational Leadership as appropriate. Addresses any feedback and QA tracking and modifies the program as needed.

    + Serves as the lead for training scheduling coordination in an environment characterized by complex operational impact. Coordinates new user training as needed. Participates in the evaluation, design, facilitation, implementation, and ongoing support of the Training program and LMS. Works with Training leadership and Scheduling Teams to manage schedules, trainers, facilitators and facility logistics. May assist with Scheduling and Enrollment needs.

    + Coordinates marketing strategies with web services to promote ISD Enterprise Training Program and process. Partnering with Communications, provides direction on the development of webpage format and content for go-lives and new hire training as needed.

    + Maintains in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the training program, including policies, procedures, processes, team members and the LMS.

    + Models best practices for clinical and operational customers and others on the team, including precepting, coaching, and or mentoring staff at all levels. Collaborates with operational governance in priority setting for URMC. Represents the department at the customer and organizational level. In conjunction with Training Management participates in the recruitment of staff and contributes to staffing decisions.

    + Cross covers eRecord Training Manager(s) including managing and evaluating their direct reports as needed.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    + Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering, Required

    + Master's Degree, Preferred

    + 4-5 years of related experience, Required;

    + 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity, Preferred

    + Or equivalent combination of education and experience, Required.

    + Epic, ERP, Supply Chain, procurement, I\inventory systems knowledge, and/or systems training experience, preferred

    + Healthcare or educational setting experience, preferred;

    + Project Management experience, preferred;

    + Supervisory experience, preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills and ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems, required

    + Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, relationship building and follow-up skills, required

    + Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills, required

    + Ability to listen and ask questions, required

    + Skilled in using MS Office applications, Zoom, SharePoint and/or Learning Management Systems, required

    + Supply Chain, Allscripts, Workday, uPerform, preferred

    + Strong leadership skills, preferred

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

    + Epic, PMP, Agile, ITIL preferred
