Job Summary
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System is seeking a full-time faculty member to work in the Geriatric Psychiatry Program. Position involves participation in clinical care and education in a growing Geriatric Psychiatry section with an active, ACGME-accredited fellowship training program. Successful applicant is eligible for a faculty appointment in the clinical track in the University of Michigan Medical School and member of the University of Michigan Medical Staff.

Required Qualifications*
A Doctor of Medicine/Osteopathy is required. Possession of a current license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan is necessary. Completion of a residency in Psychiatry, and current enrollment in good standing or completion of ACGME certified Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship is required. The candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry and be board-eligible in Geriatric Psychiatry upon hire. Applicants must have demonstrated promise for an academic career that emphasizes clinical care, teaching and administration. Superior clinical competencies and master teacher skills are necessary, and the applicant must become an active member in good standing of the University of Michigan Medical Staff. The successful candidate should have an interest in the delivery of exceptional outpatient psychiatric services. Prior experience in psychiatric care delivery using collaborative care models is desired

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
