Job Summary
The Deininger labs expertise is translational research in leukemia, specifically the biology of myeloid malignancies and the development of molecular targeted therapies. We strive to understand the molecular mechanisms allowing leukemia cells to survive treatment and use this knowledge to develop more effective and less toxic therapies. We employ a multidisciplinary approach to research, straddling genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, and biomedical engineering, with one goal: improving the lives of patients affected by leukemia. Responsibilities*
+ Develops, improves, and implements laboratory techniques and performs complex experiments or tests to contribute to the timely and accurate completion of the research projects including clear and complete records of all experimental work.
+ Troubleshoots assays and customizes experimental tools to answer research questions.
+ Analyze and interpret experimental data, including application of basic bioinformatic tools and statistical models.
+ Coordinates external and internal resources necessary for completion of research plan.
+ Manage and coordinate all phases of complex in vivo research projects under scientific direction, including experimental planning and procedural execution.
Required Qualifications*
+ Bachelor's degree in related field
+ 1-4 years of blood-related or leukemia-related research laboratory experience required.
+ Strong background and profound knowledge in hematological malignancies is required.
+ Experience working with mice models is required.
Desired Qualifications*
+ Master's Degree preferred
+ Experience in molecular and and/or cellular biology techniques preferred.
+ Proficiency in rodent intravenous, intrafemoral, intraperitoneal and subcutaneous injections and bone marrow transplant preferred.

Background Screening
