The **Director,** **Business Development,** will combine sales and business capture with a focus on business development in the Department of War, Department of Health and Human Services, Defense Logistics Agency, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, and other federal agencies. Facilitate access to and secure new contracts and SBU business growth in the federal government market by creating/developing relationships, programs, and contracts with federal agencies.
Responsibilities
+ Support the Environmental, Healthcare, and Facilities Strategic Business Unit in the pursuit and capture of the strategic objectives
+ Transform business development by strengthening core offerings and pioneering new markets through data-driven strategies and AI-powered innovation to achieve superior growth.
+ Tracks record of sales and capture results of >$20M per year Utilize AI, data analytics, and business intelligence tools to develop and grow the business
+ Coordinate with the strategic business unit executive team to ensure synergy and support of the SBU objectives.
+ Responsible for all aspects of opportunity identification, qualification, pursuit, and capture phases
+ Identification and development of Partnering/Teaming opportunities, accurate Bookings/Sales Forecast inputs
+ Responsible for meeting agreed upon annual objective targets.
+ Serve as Capture Manager and support Corporate business development initiatives.
+ Oversee various business data management processes utilizing business intelligence tactics such as AI to produce data driven results supporting new business growth.
+ Occasional presence in Washington DC area, San Antonio, USACE Omaha, USACE Huntsville, Atlanta and other key locations across the US and OCONUS with agreed-upon number of customer visits per quarter and reasonable business travel outside of these areas as required.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree Preferred
+ Master's degree is highly Preferred
+ Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience in leadership and business development management positions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Demonstrated executive leadership abilities to include mentoring of subordinates or team members.
+ Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word, Salesforce.com, GovWin, VantagePoint, M365, FPDS, Bidnet, DelTek, CaptureExec, and Power BI
+ Ability to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Possess thorough understanding of lead generation and Federal acquisition regulations including provisions related to Alaska Native Corporations
+ Possess thorough understanding and experience acquiring services through the SBA’s 8(a) and Small Business Program process/regulations
+ Experience with DoW systems: acquisition process and directives, development methodologies and standards, testing procedures, experimentation process, and networking standards
+ Possess comprehensive and current understanding of the Construction, Engineering, Facilities, Logistics, Healthcare and Environmental organizations, programs, technologies, budgets and trends for federal procurements
+ Experience using formal business development processes and procedures to conduct opportunity identification, qualification, competitive analyses, strategy formulation, opportunity shaping, and customer relations management
+ Experience developing and executing opportunity capture strategies, formal capture plans, leading capture execution, and with focus on closing the deal
+ Experience managing proposal development
+ Experience working with 8(a) government contracts, small business and disadvantaged companies Preferred
