The Sam’s Club Member Access Platform (MAP) is the nexus of the Supplier -Marketer- Merchant partnership and is responsible for delivering our suppliers (advertisers) impactful omnichannel advertising member experiences that are married with measurable insights. **Why MAP MINDS team?** The MAP Measurement, Insights and Data Strategy (MINDS) team is part of the Sam’s Club Member & Insights Center of Excellence org that is dedicated to supporting the retail media MAP business unit. It is comprised of two key workstreams - Performance Measurement & Insights team and Media Science & Experimentation team. MAP MINDS plays a critical role in MAP’s accelerated growth by bringing the power of 1st party deterministic membership data and advanced data science and innovative measurement approaches together to offer trusted data and insights to MAP advertisers and MAP internal teams. **What will you do?** The Director of Performance Measurement & Insights will lead a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver tailored measurement and insights services with a focus on MAP Joint Business Partners’ (JBP) return on MAP investment and actionable audience insights, leveraging rich 1P membership data. This role will collaborate with internal cross-functional leaders from Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Engineering. Also, responsible for building and deploying AI solutions that help accelerate and/or scale measurement and insights services and continuously advance measurement methodologies to fit new ad products made available to MAP advertisers. **Who is an ideal candidate?** The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader and hands-on problem solver in advanced data science and analytics with strong prior retail media and digital/instore ad experiences (display, sponsored product, offsite, programmatic, video, social commerce, DOOH, and in-store media, among others). Having a successful track record of leading and growing a team of motivated analytics resources with empathy and humility, the candidate must have a strong technical working knowledge in causal studies, principles of experimentation, ML models, and data strategy. This role will report directly into the Sr. Director, Head of Measurement, Insights, and Data Strategy. **What are the key responsibilities?
+ Own the end-to-end measurement strategy for MAP, spanning onsite/offsite, sponsored products, display/video, programmatic, social, and in-club media such as samples and demos.
+ Oversee accurate and timely delivery of contractually obligated measurement and insights services to MAP advertisers, Sales and Client Services per JBP services matrix.
+ Partner with product and engineering teams to design production adtech systems
+ Establish data quality and integrity controls for pipelines; implement monitoring and root-cause processes.
+ Translate complex measurement concepts into market-ready narratives, documentation, and training for Sales, Account Management, and advertiser clients.
+ Provide technical feedback on modeling approaches and solution architecture
+ Meet with advertisers to explain the benefits of MAP media, measurement approaches, and highlight key performance results.
+ Own the measurement and insights innovation roadmap for annual planning and prioritization to inform new additions and deletions from MAP JBP benefits matrix.
+ Ideate and develop AI solutions to help automate and scale campaign performance measurements and insights.
+ Manage and mentor a team of measurement leads/analysts; set operating rhythms, performance goals, and development plans.
What are the qualifications?
+ Bachelors, master's or advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
+ 10+ years of experience in retail media (required), digital media, marketing measurement, experimentation and site/ search analytics; minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
+ Experience with python - writing tests, developing ETL flows, calling APIs
+ Experience working cross-functionally product and technical teams
+ SQL knowledge, spark SQL preferred
+ Strong Ad tech and prior Retail Media working knowledge is required
+ Outstanding analytical and communication skills; develop presentation slides and narratives
+ Comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in an environment with rapid change

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09930: The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00
San Bruno, California US-08848: The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00 - $338,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
