What you'll do...
The Drone Delivery team is seeking a highly motivated and data-driven **Manager, Automation Engineering – Drone Delivery Operations** with deep automation knowledge and a passion for operational excellence. This role will translate complex fulfillment challenges into scalable, user-centered solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction across Walmart’s next-generation delivery network.
This is an onsite role based at our Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package can be made available, but we are not considering remote applicants for this opportunity.

+ **Driving System Reliability:** Lead structured root-cause investigations into operational anomalies and partner performance, developing categorization models and action plans that move system availability toward best-in-class targets.
+ **Architecting Scalable Processes:** Design and implement standardized SOPs, playbooks, and operational protocols across multiple sites to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
+ **Optimizing Automation Workflows:** Analyze real-time operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that increase throughput and reduce downtime.
+ **Building Cross-Functional Alignment:** Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, operations, and vendor partners—surfacing issues, communicating technical insights, and driving accountability through data-backed decisions.
+ **Championing Innovation:** Evaluate and integrate emerging robotics and automation technologies, negotiating strategic partnerships that advance Walmart’s fulfillment capabilities while reducing cost per case and improving customer experience.
+ **Enabling Continuous Improvement:** Maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into KPIs, compliance, and performance trends; document decisions and track action items to completion.
+ **Coordinate across functions and communicate effectively** with partner managers and cross-functional stakeholders to keep teams aligned on operational changes, programs, and events impacting drone delivery operations; support internal updates and communications with clear summaries and documentation.
