    Company description

Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) is a world-famous creative agency that makes jaw-dropping, thumb-stopping, eye-opening work for brands across the globe. Founded in London in 1982, we now have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Mumbai, Singapore, and Shanghai. Our first ad for Levi’s showed a black sheep travelling in the opposite direction to a flock of white ones. That’s where we got our logo and our guiding philosophy: when the world zigs, zag. Why? Because it’s easy to zig, to go with the grain. It feels safe. It feels like the sensible thing to do. But the greater risk is failing to stand out. We believe in the power of difference to make a difference.

Our goal is a simple one: make the best work in the world. That’s where you come in. We need rebels, dreamers, thinkers, mathematicians, makers, artists, visionaries, doers, observers, the different and the unreasonable. We need Black Sheep. People who want to make the hearts flutter and minds do flips, who can change businesses and culture. People who want to make a difference, come here for something different.

    Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time **Account Director** to join our team.

The ideal account person is a leader, someone with the tenacity, resourcefulness, business

sense, pro-active curiosity, and cool-headedness to behave like the CEO of their account,

brand or project. The account person is the only person in the agency who touches every

aspect of a project in some way: from the relationship with the client, to the relationship with

the team, from strategy to finance to creative to production. It is ultimately the role of an

account person at any level to ensure that a project meets the client and agency’s ambitions

to generate great, effective creative work, on time and on budget, and to motivate the team

    along the way.

    Responsibilities

The **Account Director** is the agency’s quarterback, able to create the conditions for the

creative work to thrive. They have high emotional intelligence and can nurture junior team

members as well as client relationships.

The **Account Director** is expected to be:

    • A business partner to the clients, using their deep knowledge and understanding of

the clients’ business in order to create the best conditions for the right work to thrive,

leading to the success and growth of both our partners and our agency.

    • Able to manage internal teams (direct reports, colleagues, and seniors) with poise,

clarity and integrity building followership across the board, navigating the BBH

process effortlessly and are able to lean on the internal expertise available (across

offices) to deliver outstanding creative solutions to a range of business problems.

    • Fluent in all phases of the creative process from strategy, through creative to

production and bring their expertise to bear at each stage, foreseeing issues before

they arise and heading them off. Taking pressure off the team by tackling the difficult

conversations and know when to escalate for support is also part of their role.

    • Keenly aware of the value BBH brings to the table, which allows the agency to price our

skills well and talk about BBH value convincingly.

    • A natural entrepreneur with a hunter attitude, actively searching for new business

opportunities within the marketing community, always on the hunt for growth while

keeping their eyes out for client needs, and quickly translating these needs into a

solution to grow the agency business.

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years of relatable experience in client service

    • Entrepreneurial spirit with experience contributing to new business efforts and driving

    organic growth

    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and run multiple projects at once

    with minimal oversight

    • A solid understanding of business and marketing strategy

    • Extremely detail-oriented and organized

    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • A passion for creativity
