JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing business analytics for Universal Kids Resort (UKR). This position is a highly analytical role with experience in business analytics and data mining/analysis, with strong technical skills. Provides ad hoc analytics to support business needs including sales/program analysis, optimization, competitive industry, tracking analysis, and strategic analysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Produces and analyzes ongoing reporting for the organization including development, production and distribution of sales/outlook reports. Submits regular updates to the annual operating plan as part of the corporate financial planning deliverables due to the New Ventures Corporate Finance team.

+ Creates ad hoc analytics to assist in supporting business needs. This includes sales/program analysis, optimization, competitive industry, tracking analysis, and strategic analysis requested by the business. Presents analysis and findings in a clear and logical manner with strategic recommendations. Creates and defines the key metrics used to better analyze the business and its needs.

+ Assists in creating and analyzing Financial Reports, Profit & Loss Statements, Business Cases and Pro Formas.

+ Forecasts key metrics based on current trends in business and in the industry/economy.

+ Assists in the annual operating plan for the upcoming year utilizing trends and meeting business goals.

+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

+ Individual Contributor.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

+ Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.

+ Strong experience in data mining and querying in relational database systems such as MS Access and writing code in Structured Query Language (SQL) a plus.

+ Expert knowledge in Excel including complex formulas and charts.

+ Proficient knowledge in forecasting, scenario analysis, key metrics, and trending.

+ Proficient knowledge of Mathematical and Statistics

+ Presentational and professional speaking skills to communicate closely with Executive level management including Directors, Vice Presidents, and Chief Financial Officer.

+ Experience and knowledge of the Hospitality/Tourism and Travel industry preferred.

+ Knowledge of budgeting software is preferred.

EDUCATION:

+ Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

+ 3+ years of experience in a competitive analytical field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
