Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer. This is a hybrid position (3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week) based at our Moon Township, PA location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR. The role may require up to 10% travel.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,250 - $126,500 a year.

What you’ll do:
We are seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead new product introductions and drive the development of advanced Meters, Relays, and Communication products. In this role, you will take ownership of hardware engineering projects from initial customer proposal through production launch, serving commercial and industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop system electronics for Energy and Power Quality Metering and Power Distribution Communication products.
+ Contribute technically while managing tasks and project deliverables.
+ Design and develop specifications and essential performance for electronic systems.
+ Design and test complex analog and digital circuits.
+ Architect and design products ranging from microcontrollers to multi-core processors.
+ Collaborate with electronic suppliers and development partners to manage external design and manufacturing activities.
+ Provide direction and mentorship to team membersManage multiple projects and priorities, adapting as business needs evolve.
+ Partner with marketing, project managers, and cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into product specifications.
+ Coordinate activities with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
+ Work with industrialization teams and suppliers to establish project schedules and budgets, monitor progress, and take corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics product design

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with Altium or other schematic capture and layout tools
+ Experience in designing products to meet UL safety requirements and working with UL for certification
+ Experience with developing firmware, hardware bring-up an BSP development
Skills:
+ Ability to manage design controls, develop and define requirements, & testing protocols
+ Testing of system for EMI/EMC
+ Knowledge of Power Distribution System or Industrial control systems
+ Knowledge of electrical engineering disciplines such as analog and digital circuit design, microprocessors, firmware development and digital signal processing
+ Knowledge of RTOSs
