• Warehouse Associate - Night Shift (FL)

    $19.89 +.50 shift differential

     

    Sun-Thu 5:00pm - finish, 8+ hour shift, OT mandatory

    SUMMARY

    Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    + Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.

    + Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.

    + Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.

    + Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.

    + Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.

    + Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.

    + Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.

    + Identify and report slot and put-away problems.

    + Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.

    + Performs house keeping duties as assigned.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    The ideal Candidate will have ability to:

    + Operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker.

    + Lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift.

    + Bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time.

    + Successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements.

    + Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    + Job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment.

    + Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.

    + This is a full-time position.

    + Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.

    + Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements.

    + The position does not require travel.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required:

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Must pass a functional capacity test.

    Preferred:

    + Knowledge of SAP.

    + 1+ year warehouse experience.

    + Previous forklift certification.

    + Material handling equipment experience.

    + Reach truck experience.
