    Overview

    Shift: 2-3 Days per week. 8 hour shifts with varying start time between 0630-0800. Monday through Friday, 20 hours/week

     

    Under the supervision of an RN provides direct patient care . Performs procedures for patients and provides technical services and support . Decontaminates, cleans and disinfects endoscopes, accessories and equipment utilized in endoscopic procedures . Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families .

    Responsibilities

    + PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.

    + Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.

    + Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.

    + Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

    + Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.

    Qualifications

    License(s)/Certification(s):

    + 75-Hour Basic CNA Course preferred

    + Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire

    + Valid driver's license

    Other:

    + Must be Eighteen (18) years of age or older

    + Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently , and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
