Medical Oncology Physician

About the Opportunity:
We are excited to announce a brand-new Medical Oncologist position within our growing cancer program. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide regional coverage between two beautiful communities in Central Pennsylvania.
Our CoC-Accredited Cancer Centers offer Medical Oncology, Infusion Services, and Radiation Oncology. The centers are supported by a dedicated team of professionals that include a Dietician, Social Worker, RN Navigator, Research Nurse, and Financial Counselor.
WellSpan collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medicine for second opinion, clinical trials, and participation in tumor boards.
Our team is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.
+ 2 days in Lebanon, 2 days in Ephrata, with an administrative day
+ Call rotation (evening/weekend call rotation managing calls from patients and hospital. Hospital consults/rounding for urgent needs only).
+ Admissions are completed by hospitalists (no inpatient oncology unit)
+ Patient Volume: 50-60 new consults per month; Average 15 patients/day (mix of new and return visits).

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
+ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
+ Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
+ Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
+ Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
+ Certification of Added Competency in Hematology-Oncology. Upon Hire Required and
+ Completion of an Internal Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required and
+ Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology. Upon Hire Required and
+ Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of Gettysburg Hospital. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Teaching skills.
