    What You’ll Do

    + **General Ledger Management:** Responsible for inputting all general ledger journal entries and monthly ledger interfaces.

    + **Fixed Asset Accounting:** Prepare and balance Fixed Asset system inputs, including recording purchases, disposals, and depreciation for all companies.

    + **Reporting & Analysis:** Assist the IFRS reporting unit by preparing management reports and analyses as assigned.

    + **Reconciliations:** Prepare general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.

    + **Support & Special Projects:** Perform various financial accounting support tasks, backup functions, and participate in special projects.

    + **System Improvements:** Participate in software upgrades and maintenance projects, and initiate efficiencies with management approval.

    Skills/Abilities

    + Solid understanding of accounting terminology.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills.

    + Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and ERP systems.

    + Strong analytical skills and ability to identify process improvements.

    Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent knowledge/experience.

    + 4–6 years of relevant experience, or High School equivalent plus 5–7 years.

    + Strong understanding of accounting principles and technical aspects of the role.

    + Ability to work independently.

    **Pay Philosophy** : The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

     

    Salary Range $45,000 - $64,000
