A key responsibility will be guiding migration from legacy systems to advanced, secure, and scalable cloud-based platforms. The role is responsible for delivering robust data solutions that enable operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer-centric insights.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and optimize teams responsible for Data Strategy & Architecture and Data Management & Implementation, including future offshore expansion.
+ Develop and execute a data strategy that supports all core operations, ensuring reliable, actionable data for business needs.
+ Drive migration from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms (Snowflake on AWS, Databricks on Azure).
+ Champion an agile, iterative approach to data delivery—prioritizing execution and continuous improvement over perfection.
+ Implement strong data governance, security, and compliance practices.
+ Foster innovation by adopting new technologies, including AI accelerators and advanced analytics.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business objectives and support organizational change.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
+ 10 or more years of relevant software engineering experience
+ Six or more years of experience leading multiple software engineering teams.
Preferred Skills/Experience
+ Advanced degree in computer science, data science, information management, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of senior data leadership experience within financial services, with a focus on large-scale banking operations and critical operational data needs.
+ Proven success in leading legacy-to-cloud platform migrations (Snowflake on AWS, Databricks on Azure) and implementing advanced analytics solutions.
+ Deep expertise in data governance, privacy, security, and operational risk management in regulated environments.
+ Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills, with a track record of aligning data strategy to business priorities and inspiring teams through transformation.
+ Visionary, innovative mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking, focused on operational effectiveness and customer value.
