Your role and responsibilities

Manage and coach a team of product software engineers to high performance

*

Support the career growth for individuals on a team building and delivering Boundary products to a fast-growing customer base

*

Hire and grow a diverse team

*

Assist product management and design in your capacity as an engineering leader

*

Collaborate across functions and stakeholders for detailed roadmap planning

*

Guide architecture and other technical decision making

*

Ensure high quality products through thoughtful testing and release practices

*

Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing, release and operations

Required technical and professional expertise

*

3 years of software engineering management experience

*

You have experience with managing both development and operational workstreams

*

You’ve managed and/or participated in an on call rotation

*

You have experience collaborating with a remote distributed team

Preferred technical and professional experience

*

You have managed a full stack team (frontend and backend engineers)

*

You have exposure to systems software and services written in Go and Javascript

*

You have expertise in one or more of the major public clouds

*

You have experience driving observability, reliability, and availability for large-scale distributed systems

*

You have a background in leading engineering teams for large-scale enterprise platforms
