Job Summary and Qualifications

To assist the CNO and Administrative Director of Quality management in implementation of all aspects of the Quality Management Program including the identification of opportunities to improve patient care, and is responsible for the management, supervision and daily operation of the Quality Management Department. To provide leadership and be a role model for the staff of the Quality Management Department.

+ You will assist in the implementation of the hospital wide CQI Program. Works with the Medical Staff leadership, TMF/Federal Representatives and hospital staff.

+ You will assist the leadership team in identifying and developing organizational improvement opportunities while looking at specific clinical outcomes.

+ You will participate in education of hospital and Medical Staff in the Performance Improvement Program/methodology and current Joint Commission/TMF Federal requirements.

+ You will assist in the Incident Report Program and PSO activities.

+ You will review medical records according to criteria and outcome data identified.

+ You will promote positive Customer Service with internal and external customers.

+ You will actively participate or lead CQI Pathway teams as needed.

+ You will be responsible for the coordination of regulatory surveys, in particular, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (Joint Commission) survey.

+ You will manage and direct the Quality Management Department.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare discipline (healthcare administration).

+ MSN or other Master’s program in related healthcare field preferred.

+ Licensed in the State of Texas (or compact state if registered nurse) as RN

+ BCLS certification preferred.

+ 3-5 years clinical and management experience preferred, 1-2 years’ experience in healthcare setting, in Quality Management, desirable.
