A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for accurate cash balancing, processing daily unposted items, investment accounting; quarterly financial reporting; and various bank accounting systems. In addition, you will be responsible to maintain correspondent bank balances, reconciliations, and serve as a back-up for accounts payable.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, with one to three years prior accounting experience required; in the financial services industry preferred.
+ Experience with financial reconciliations required, in the financial services industry preferred.
+ Demonstrated aptitude for working with numbers/figures with accuracy and strong attention to detail required.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with strong organizational skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a group or independently.
